DKI Belum Pernah Terima Pajak dari Uber dan Grab

Uber and Grab Have Never Paid Taxes

They (Grab and Uber) said have the company, but we never received it. We have met them, if you want to open business, you must pay tax first

Jakarta Governor, Basuki T Purnama acknowledged that transportation services like Uber and Grab Car have never paid taxes. All this time, they have been summoned several times to discuss his whereabouts. But until now they have not yet registered.

"They (Grab and Uber) said have the company, but we never received it. We have met them, if you want to open business, you must pay tax first," he said, at City Hall, Monday (3/14).

Transport Company must Develop Its Service

He assessed, if they want to be categorized as small and medium enterprises (UMKM), they will be charged tax by 1 percent. Thereby, competition between public transport entrepreneurs will go well.

"Our requirement is just tax payment," he asserted.

To manage them, he explained, his party does not need to make new governor regulation.

"Because, it was set in the rules and clear enough," he finished.
